Influence

Do you know your Klout score? I didn’t until a few months ago, when I was reading a link from the twitter world. Their mission is to unlock everyone’s influence, and is now becoming increasingly important for the purposes of hiring people, and promotion. Klout is a service designed to measure user’s online influence, on a scale between 1 to 100, based on 400 signals from different networks. This then takes into account, your presence on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Google + factoring in how many likes, comments, mentions, subscribers, wallposts and retweets you have, which establishes your engagement and influence in the social media galaxy. Justin Bieber is the only one to have had a Klout score of 100, Barack Obama’s is 99. There is also talk of your Klout score, leveraging you for upgrades in hotel rooms, boarding your flight earlier, and other VIP treatment, as long as your score is closer to 100. Maybe you should sign up?
